The title is from Shakespeare’s *Romeo and Juliet*, Act I sc v: “Come, let’s away, the strangers all are gone.” It also appears in *King Lear*, Act V sc iii: “Come, let’s away to prison; We two alone will sing like birds i’ the cage”.

The fifth episode of Star Fleet Academy was filled with memberberries for Deep Space Nine. So now I want to re-watch this magnificent Star Trek show. I first watched it, back when it aired in the 1990s.

Why has there not been a ‘Star Trek’ series or series of movie that involves people with super intelligence & skills like that, but the challenges go along with it? Half joking, but ‘Big Bang Theory’s* character Shelton would work & be funny. Shelton fanboy did not pay me to say that or have something on me to force me to say that. Heck the other ‘Big Bang Theory’s character characters would also work & be funny. But a lot more serious, there are some challenges that give people traits that makes them the perfect crew members.

I was born into & will die with Learning Challenges (in- language processing & short & long term memories), have earned degree in SLD, many certifications, including VE & ESE, from the most respected higher educational school in Fl., whatever that is worth, & facilitated learning in Elementary schools’-high schools’-adult education school’s ESE & Etc. classrooms. So I understand that challenges can be extremely hard identify-prove & everywhere, I think everyone has a challenge, to some degree.

The title comes from Sam’s full name, the first photonic cadet from Kasq. Sam is only 217 days old at this point, having been created as the first hologram to reintegrate with organics, but programmed to act like a 17-year-old.

Recently I was talking with people about how I watch TNG, DS9, Voyager, Picard, Lower Decks and people point if I’m a trekkie, and to be honest I don’t feel like a fan of Star Trek despite is mostly the only series I care to watch apart of Avatar Aang/Korra.

Since Discovery, despite the Star Trek writers repeatedly beating us over the head with this, I still somehow didn’t catch onto the pattern. If there is a through-line to all the new shows, the notion that acknowledging one’s own vulnerability is a sign of individual strength, and that showing support when others are being vulnerable around you, is also a sign of individual strength.

The title literally translates from Latin as “A voice on high”, and is the title of papal declaration (or bull) issued by Pope Clement V on 22 March 1312 formally dissolving the Knights Templar. It is therefore associated with declarations from lofty authorities.

Based on my rudimentary Latin, the title can be loosely translated as “Back/Return to Life”, I think. In the episode, it’s a fungus, although it’s unclear if that is its scientific or colloquial name. There is no “vitus” genus as far as I can tell, although grapes belong to the vitis family.

There are many lists with recommended/must-watch episodes. But they usually just include episodes that are considered good or great.

Why are the Betazoids described as an empathic species in Academy? Troi was an empath, but that’s because she’s half human. Lwxana and the Betazoid “delegates” in LDS are all telepathic. They all regularly use telepathy to speak to each other and to humans they’re close with. Why are the Betazoids in Academy signing to each other to communicate subtly instead of thinking?

Has anyone ever tried make the game into real life?

After watching the trailers for Academy I generally liked what I saw, but Holly Hunter felt oddly reminiscent of Geneviève Bujold as Janeway. I even made a comment somewhere on here that was like “I need to be sold more on Holly Hunter”.

There is a new Star Trek 60th anniversary opening, which starts with the TOS Enterprise going into warp and then transforming into each subsequent series’ hero ships, from the refit to Enterprise*-D, *Defiant*, *Voyage*, NX-01, *Discovery*, the SNW *Enterprise and finally the USS Athena. The font used in the series captions is the one first seen in TMP.

The title refers to both Caleb’s adjusting to Starfleet Academy and the arrival of the Betazoids.

“Kids These Days”

Paramount+ doesn’t have the “Spanish (Latin American” dub beyond season 2, and I’ve long been wondering if it even exists for later seasons. It would be a travesty if it didn’t, as most voices were at least tolerable, and Boimler straight up sounded like Jack Quaid speaking Spanish.

Star Trek Strange New Worlds is my favorite Star Trek series ever. I love all the risks they take and the cast is excellent. I can’t believe it’s being cut short. Give me 7, 8, 9 seasons.
